Workforce Liquid, Tundra Esports and BetBoom Workforce gained their matches Tuesday to advance out of the group stage on the PGL Wallachia Season 4 occasion in Bucharest, Romania.
Liquid swept Workforce Tidebound whereas Tundra and BetBoom every posted 2-1 wins in opposition to Workforce Falcons and Aurora Gaming, respectively.
Liquid, Tundra and BetBoom joined earlier playoff qualifiers Workforce Spirit and PARIVISION, with the ultimate three spots to be decided Wednesday.
The $1 million Dota event started with 16 groups in a modified Swiss group stage format with the double-elimination playoffs working by April 27.
All matches within the group stage are best-of-three. The highest eight groups advance to the playoffs, and the underside eight are eradicated. The playoffs are Thursday by Sunday, with all matches best-of-three aside from the grand closing, which is best-of-five.
Liquid defeated Tidebound in 35 minutes and 50 minutes, each on inexperienced. Falcons opened with a 73-minute win on pink however Tundra answered with a 37-minute win on pink and a 28-minute victory on inexperienced. BetBoom sandwiched a 39-minute win on pink and a 42-minute win on inexperienced round Aurora’s 45-minute win on pink.
In Tuesday’s matches pitting 1-2 groups, NAVI Junior swept Nigma Galaxy, Xtreme Gaming swept Shopify Rise up and HEROIC defeated Edge 2-1. The shedding groups have been eradicated.
