Virat Kohli will get pranked, his bat turns into centre of consideration once more

Virat Kohli’s bat was as soon as once more the centre of consideration after RCB vs RR and this time it was concerned in a prank

Virat Kohli once again proved why he is the best chase-master in the business with an unbeaten 62-run knock in RR vs RCB tie. Following the game, he was pranked by his teammate Tim David. Once again, Kohli’s bat was at the centre of attention.

Kohli gets ‘bat’ pranked by David

In a video uploaded by RCB on social media platforms, Kohli is seen wondering where is his 7th bat as he is packing his kit. David, who hides the bat in his kit, says that he wants to see how long before the ex-RCB skipper finds out. With a clue from his teammate, Virat finds the bat in David’s kitbag.

Kohli playfully abuses his teammates, telling them that they knew about the prank. Initially, David says that he didn’t take the bat but had borrowed it.

Virat was batting so nicely. So, we wanted to see how long it takes him before he figures out one of his bats were missing. He didn’t. He was too happy with himself. So, I gave it back to him. He thought I was trying to steal it, I wasn’t,” David said.

Kohli achieves unique feat

On Sunday, the 36-year-old brought up yet another milestone when he reached his third fifty of IPL 2025, in 39 deliveries. A little slow off the blocks, Kohli picked up pace when the Rajasthan bowlers started to look tired, slammed Wanindu Hasaranga for a six and a four in the same over, to bring up his 100th fifty in T20s, overall.

The 36-year-old is not only the second in the world to achieve this unique feat, after David Warner, but also is the first Indian to do so. Now, in 405 T20 matches, including T20Is as well, he has over 13,000 runs as well, a record he had achieved in IPL 2025 too.
