But Virat Kohli was all prepared and padded up to get down to the crease if the situation arose. And then as soon as the day’s play ended, Kohli marched down to the ground to practice shots. He was spotted training hard, practicing take downs from Team India’s support staff.

The ace batter is keen to find the proper flow of the bat. He is yet to slam a Test century this year. He managed to score 70 runs in the second innings of the previous Test, but the coveted 3-digit score still evades him. Kohli’s fine form is now detrimental for India’s success in the WTC Standings.

And more importantly, after being 1-0 down in the India vs New Zealand Test series, Virat Kohli will be desperate to find runs to help India make a strong comeback. Furthermore, with the star batter finding his rhythm will act wonders when India travels to Australia for the highly anticipated Border Gavaskar Trophy.
