United Airways apologized to Corridor of Fame working again Terrell Davis on Tuesday for his mistreatment on a current flight.
Davis, 51, was handcuffed and faraway from a aircraft Saturday in Santa Ana, Calif., after a flight attendant accused the previous Denver Broncos star of hitting him.
Davis launched a press release Monday on Instagram explaining that he had “frivolously tapped” the flight attendant’s arm to get his consideration, solely to listen to him reply, “Do not hit me!”
Davis stated FBI brokers and native authorities boarded the aircraft at Orange County’s John Wayne Airport and positioned him in handcuffs in entrance of his spouse and three kids after which eliminated him from the flight.
“I used to be — and stay — humiliated, embarrassed, powerless, and offended,” Davis wrote.
After explaining the incident to regulation enforcement, Davis stated they decided the flight attendant was “inaccurate” and the brokers apologized to him and let him go.
United Airways issued an apology and stated the flight attendant has been “eliminated” from obligation.
“That is clearly not the form of journey expertise we attempt to supply, and we’ve got reached out to Mr. Davis’s staff to apologize,” United stated in a press release. “We have now eliminated the flight attendant from obligation whereas we carefully overview this matter.”
Davis performed from 1995-2001 with the Broncos, who drafted him within the sixth spherical in 1995. He rushed for 7,607 yards and 60 touchdowns, together with 2,008 yards and 21 TDs throughout his MVP season in 1998. He helped Denver win Tremendous Bowls XXXII and XXXIII and was inducted into the Corridor of Fame in 2017
