Jim was a key founding member of Athletics North Queensland in 1996, recognising the significance of help the North. The affiliation was fashioned to offer North Queensland area with a united voice and to deal with the wants of regional athletics golf equipment and their members which it continues to do immediately.

As an worker, Jim began working with Athletics North Queensland in 2006 throughout a time when moreservices and alternatives have been being created for the North.  Since then, he has led a number of initiatives and thru his management has supplied stronger alternatives for North Queenslanders.  A few of these initiatives included the OZ Squad Camps, the Growth Squads, officers’ schooling, teaching, establishing and strengthening the expansion of competitions within the north and the strategic planning of Athletics North Queensland.  He has been one of many key mentors in our sport sharing over 50 years of athletics data to the broader athletics neighborhood.

All through Jim’s athletics profession he has been the secretary of a number of golf equipment, later transitioning to serve on varied boards together with Athletics North Queensland, Queensland Athletics and performing as President of the Townsville Mixed Athletics Golf equipment. With Jim’s unimaginable dedication and onerous work has led to many athletics  achievements inlcuding:
