Gujarat Titans will be aiming to go at the top of the points table with yet another win as they take on a hapless RR. Shubman Gill and co. are currently second-placed with 12 points, having won 6 out of 8 matches played so far. GT aren’t expected to make many changes to their playing XI and will mostly retain most of the players who have been a part of their wins previously.

Predicted GT playing XI vs RR
Sai Sudharsan, Shubman Gill (c), Jos Buttler (wk), Washington Sundar, Sherfane Rutherford, Shahrukh Khan, Rashid Khan, R Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Ishant Sharma
Impact player: Dasun Shanaka
Rahul Tewatia out
If there is once change that GT can make, it would be benching Tewatia. The all-rounder hasn’t had a great run with the bat and already has three ducks to his name in IPL 2025. He hasn’t been used as a bowler so far. This leaves Gill with the option to add an extra pacer to the line-up in the form of Ishant Sharma.
GT’s top three batters will be expected to do the heavy lifting as usual. Sudharsan, Gill and Buttler have been in top form in the ongoing season. Sherfane Rutherford has aced his role as finisher and will be expected to continue doing so. Meanwhile, GT can give Washington Sundar a promotion and ask him to bat at number 4.
Talking about their bowling line-up, Rashid and Kishore will comprise of the spin unit. Kishore has been fantastic and a regular wicket-taker so far for GT while Rashid has rediscovered his wicket-taking knack recently.
The pace unit will be spearheaded by Krishna, who has been in red-hot form. He will be supported by Siraj – who enjoys the most dot ball percentage in IPL 2025 – and Ishant Sharma.
