MANILA, Philippines — The potential switch of Mary Jane Veloso to a detention facility in Manila have been mentioned by the Philippine and Indonesian governments.
This has been confirmed by the Division of International Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday, November 19.
No particulars, nonetheless, was supplied by the DFA on what transpired in the course of the dialogue.
“The governments of the Philippines and Indonesia have been engaged in discussions concerning the potential switch of Mary Jane Veloso to the Philippines to serve her sentence in a Philippine facility,” the DFA merely mentioned.

In 2010, Veloso was apprehended at Adisucipto Worldwide Airport in Yogyakarta after she was present in possession of greater than 2.6 kilograms of heroin.
Veloso maintained she was unaware of the contents of her baggage because it was solely given by her recruiters recognized as Julius Lacanilao and Maria Cristina Sergio.
