Revolution signal D Wyatt Omsberg

The New England Revolution signed free agent defender Wyatt Omsberg to a one-year contract on Tuesday with a membership possibility for 2026.

Monetary phrases weren’t disclosed by the group.

“As a veteran defender in our league, Wyatt brings MLS expertise to our backline,” Revolution head coach Caleb Porter stated. “Wyatt additionally brings added depth to our group of central defenders. I look ahead to working with Wyatt and integrating him to our group within the coming weeks as we put together to kick off the 2025 season.”

Omsberg, 29, performed in 12 matches (11 begins) final season with the Chicago Fireplace.

The Maine native recorded one purpose and one help in 67 profession matches (47 begins) with Minnesota United and the Fireplace. He was chosen within the first spherical of the 2018 MLS SuperDraft by Minnesota out of Dartmouth School.

“Wyatt Omsberg is a welcomed addition to our backline, with seven seasons of expertise in Main League Soccer and ties to the New England space,” Revolution sporting director Curt Onalfo stated. “Wyatt will assist strengthen our central protection, an space of our roster that we have seemed to enhance this offseason.”

The Revolution will start the Feb. 22 season at Nashville SC.
