Kenya’s Edwin Kibet gained the tenth version of the 2025 Entry Financial institution Lagos metropolis marathon male 42km race which was held on Saturday, February 15.
The lanky runner who gained the 2023 version started the race from Nationwide stadium in Surulere and solely kissed the breastape 2:14:19 to emerge winner, smiling away with the grand prize of $50,000.
Near Kibet have been different Kenyans Kipygon Nehemiah and the 2024 winner Bernard Sang who completed 2:16: 37 and a pair of:17:17 respectively carting away $40,000 and $30,000 as second and third money prizes.
Additionally, within the ladies’s class, Ethiopia’s Gatu Hirpa completed 2:37:4 to emerge because the winner, adopted by Alemnesh Guta who positioned second at 2:38:1 whereas Ethiopia Jerono Peris took third with the identical time 2:38:1.
Nigeria born athlete Gyany Nyango Boyi completed eighth place with 2:36:20 smiling residence with N3m.
