Makati sends search and rescue groups to Bicol for catastrophe aid

The city government of Makati has dispatched search and rescue teams to the Bicol region to assist with ongoing disaster relief efforts, Mayor Abby Binay announced on Thursday.

MANILA, Philippines — The town authorities of Makati has dispatched search and rescue groups to the Bicol area to help with ongoing catastrophe aid efforts, Mayor Abby Binay introduced on Thursday.

“Makati stands in solidarity with our kababayans within the Bicol Area. We’re at all times prepared to assist different localities in each means attainable in occasions of catastrophe,” Binay stated in an announcement.

The Makati Catastrophe Threat Discount and Administration Workplace (DRRMO) has deployed 27 personnel, together with technical search and rescue responders and emergency medical providers groups.

The contingent has an entire set of water search and rescue gear, together with metal and rubber boats, medical provides, high-angle rescue gear, and private protecting gear. In addition they introduced self-sustaining belongings resembling generator units and an City Search and Rescue shelter.
