With high-security demand in the City of Joy, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) home match at Eden Gardens against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is expected to be hosted in Guwahati.
As per reports, the Kolkata cricketing body has chosen Guwahati as the venue. The larger problem will be, that Kolkata Police and the local authorities won’t be in a position to provide adequate security for the match.

Why a change in IPL 2025 schedule?
Come April 6, Kolkata will be abuzz with festivities as the city celebrates Ram Navami, a massive Hindu festival. The occasion typically sees massive processions taking over the streets of Kolkata.
