KKR and PBKS Pay Tribute to Pahalgam Terror Assault Victims Earlier than IPL 2025 Conflict

KKR and PBKS honor Pahalgam terror assault victims with a silent Eden Gardens bell earlier than their IPL 2025 conflict.

The legendary Eden Gardens, known as the ‘Mecca of Indian cricket’, paused in a powerful moment of silence on Saturday before the IPL 2025 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) organized a moving tribute to honor the victims of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the evening.

Eden Gardens bell gets silent

The Eden Bell stayed silent as a mark of respect for the Pahalgam terror attack victims. The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) made this heartfelt decision, creating a rare, emotional moment at the usually vibrant Eden Gardens.

Before the IPL 2025 clash between KKR and PBKS, players, officials, and over 60,000 spectators observed a minute’s silence. The stadium, known for its roaring energy, fell completely still. Messages of remembrance lit up the digital screens, while fans stood with folded hands, honoring the lives lost beyond the excitement of the game.

CAB President Snehasish Ganguly said, “Eden Gardens has always stood with the nation. Today, cricket takes a back seat. We are here to express our grief and salute the martyrs and victims of the Pahalgam attack.”
