The Indian Women’s Under-19 team showed a dominant game as the defending champions recorded a commanding 10-wicket victory over Malaysia in their second match of the tournament at Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia batted first but got bundled up at 31 runs in 14.3 overs. In reply, the Indian team chased the target in just 17 balls, registering another victory for India. Earlier, India defeated the West Indies after chasing a 45-run target in just 4.2 overs. India will play its next match against Sri Lanka at the same venue.

The match began with India winning the toss and opting to field first. Malaysia Women Under-19s found themselves in deep trouble early on, managing only 31 runs in 14.3 overs. Vaishnavi Sharma was the standout bowler for India, taking five wickets for just five runs, including a hat-trick that dismantled the Malaysian batting line-up. Aayushi Shukla supported her well, claiming three wickets. Malaysia’s batters struggled to find their rhythm, with extras contributing 11 runs to their modest total.

The Indian batters displayed aggressive intent from the start, achieving an impressive run rate of 11.29.
