Ford Efficiency unveils 2025 Mustang Problem schedule

Launched at Mid-Ohio SportsCar Course in June and in the midst of its inaugural season, the Mustang Problem is effectively into preparations for its second, with Ford Efficiency releasing the 2025 schedule for the IMSA-sanctioned single-make sequence primarily based on the Ford Mustang Darkish Horse R on Friday.

Not solely will the championship begin earlier, in March at Sebring Worldwide Raceway accompanying the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours, the schedule is rising to 6 rounds and 12 races, plus the addition of the non-points Invitational spherical at Circuit de la Sarthe in help of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 2025 Mustang Problem season options three new U.S. circuits — Sebring, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and VIRginia Worldwide Raceway. Mid-Ohio, Watkins Glen Worldwide and Indianapolis Motor Speedway, featured within the 2024 schedule, weren’t included within the announcement. The venue for the ultimate spherical is but to be introduced.

Every spherical introduced thus far, apart from the Le Mans Invitational and a repeat look at Circuit of The Americas in help of the World Endurance Championship, will run with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
