Englishman Jordan Smith, who at one level climbed to inside one shot of chief Matt Wallace early on Saturday, in the end fired a third-round 77 (seven over par) after a brutal again 9 that included three bogeys, a double, and a quadruple-bogey 8 on the par-4 twelfth gap.
After the spherical, Smith vented on social media.
