ILOILO CITY — Gov. Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr. has secured his third and closing time period as governor of Iloilo, garnering over 800,000 votes in an uncontested race.
Defensor has confronted no opponents for the reason that 2022 elections.
Becoming a member of him within the Capitol is Anilao Mayor Lee Ann Debuque, who was proclaimed the brand new vice governor of Iloilo.

At 31 years previous, Debuque earned 547,262 votes, working on a platform centered on good governance and direct barangay-level providers.
In Iloilo Metropolis, Raisa Treñas-Chu, daughter of outgoing mayor Jerry Treñas, was proclaimed as the brand new metropolis mayor.
Treñas-Chu acknowledged the numerous function performed by the youth sector in her victory and dedicated to serving all sectors of society.
The 2025 elections in Iloilo concluded with a peaceable and orderly canvassing of votes, based on native election officers./###
