DAVAO CITY — The Division of Agriculture in Davao Area (DA-11) distributed P11.6 million value of agricultural equipment to farmers cooperatives and native governments Monday.
The equipment, which included four-wheel tractors with rotavators, was offered via the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF), DA-11 Director Macario Gonzaga stated Tuesday.
“With the RCEF Mechanization Program, extra provinces can attain the next degree of mechanization,” he stated.
Recipients included the Isirosary Farmers Affiliation and San Isidro Carmen Irrigators Affiliation Inc. in Davao del Norte; Dalawinon Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative and Laral Gomitoyom Irrigators Affiliation in Davao del Sur; and Davao Oriental provincial authorities, Kinablagan Rice Farmers IA Inc., Caraga-San Pedro IA Inc., Mantunao IA Inc., and Saranay Farmers IA of Rang-ay Inc. in Davao Oriental.
DA-11 Technical Director Marie Ann Constantino stated the distribution displays the company’s dedication to bettering farmers’ lives.

“This initiative goals to reinforce farm productiveness and effectivity,” she stated.
The Philippine Middle for Put up-Harvest Growth and Mechanization collaborated with DA-11 on the initiative.
