CSK have solely managed to win two out of 8 matches and are on the backside of the IPL 2025 factors desk
Chennai Super Kings will desperately be looking for a win as they take on SRH in a battle of two bottom placed teams. Nothing has gone right for the five-time champions so far in IPL 2025 as they are on the verge of being eliminated from the tournament. MS Dhoni and co. are expected to make quite some changes to their playing XI, especially since their combination in the previous games has failed to work whatsoever.

CSK predicted playing XI vs SRH

1. | Shaik Rasheed | Batter |
2. | Devon Conway | Batter |
3. | Ayush Mhatre | Batter |
4. | Ravindra Jadeja | All-rounder |
5. | Shivam Dube | Batter |
6. | MS Dhoni (C &WK) | Batter |
7. | Vijay Shankar | All-rounder |
8. | Sam Curran | All-rounder |
9. | Noor Ahmad | Bowler |
10. | Matheesha Pathirana | Bowler |
11. | Khaleel Ahmed | Bowler |
Rachin out, Conway in
Rachin Ravindrra has been in awful form in IPL 2025. While he did start off the season with a half-century in CSK’s tournament opener, he has failed to fire thereafter. Among the batters to have faced at least 100 balls this season, Rachin has the fourth lowest strike-rate and the lowest among specialist openers.
While CSK will not tamper with Shaik Rasheed’s position, they might drop Rachin for his New Zealand teammate Devon Conway. The keeper-batter has only played a couple of games in this season and has warmed the bench for the rest of the games.
Young Ayush Mhatre, who impressed with a 32-run knock in his maiden IPL outing, will continue to bat at number three.
Curran to replace Overton
Another change CSK can be looking to make is replacing Jamie Overton with Sam Curran. While Overton did a good job bowling in the powerplay in the last two games, CSK would want to use Curran’s all-round experience in their playing XI. Curran’s inclusion also strengthens CSK’s batting-order which has been quite miserable this season.
CSK squad for IPL 2025
