TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines — Cebuano weightlifters Eron Borres and Althea Bacaro bagged medals on the 2024 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships held on December 19 on the Radisson Blu Resort in Doha, Qatar.

Borres clinched the gold medal within the males’s youth 49-kilogram division’s snatch class, whereas Bacaro secured the silver medal within the ladies’s youth -40 kg class total.

Borres, an skilled competitor and gold medalist within the 2023 AWF Asian Youth Championships in India, dominated the lads’s 49 kg division snatch.
