American Affiliation – Randolph & Lengthy Lead Cougars, RailCats to Nice Weeks

Kane County Cougars outfielder Cornelius Randolph and Gary SouthShore RailCats starter Peyton Lengthy received the American Affiliation’s Pointstreak batter and pitcher of the week for the week ending 6/23, the league introduced Monday.

Randolph had an impressive week for the first-place Cougars, main the league in batting by going 12-for-21 (.571) with two doubles, three dwelling runs, eight RBI together with eight walks.

Selecting up at the least two hits in each recreation this week besides Sunday, the one spotlight of the week was his grand slam on Friday evening within the Cougars’ 13-8 win over Lake Nation.

Randolph is in yr three in Kane County after spending six seasons within the Philadelphia Phillies group and one with the White Sox’.

On the pitching facet, Lengthy had two high-quality begins this week, pitching seven innings in each outings.
