In a primary, the Athletics Federation of India has disaffiliated 16 district associations throughout the nation for failing to ship groups for the Nationwide inter-district junior athletics meet held in Ahmedabad in February.
The record consists of Panchkula, which can host the Inter-State Nationals in June, Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri and three districts every from Meghalaya and Jammu and Kashmir.
“We’ve given sufficient warning for the final two years,” AFI president Adille Sumariwalla informed The Hindu whereas confirming that it was the primary time the federation was disaffiliating district associations for skipping the inter-district Nationals.
“The suspended districts will likely be eliminated and contemporary associations will likely be fashioned,” stated Sumariwalla. “That is as per the AFI structure.”
