Since the auction, Mhatre has continued to shine. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024–25, he scored 458 runs in seven matches at an average of 65.42, including two centuries and a fifty. He also made a mark in the Under-19 Asia Cup 2024/25, finishing as the second-highest run-scorer for India U19 with 176 runs. In the Ranji Trophy, he maintained his fine form, ending as Mumbai’s fourth-highest run scorer with 471 runs in eight matches, including two centuries.
